At Don Mensendick, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our clubs and extracurricular programs provide students with opportunities to explore their passions, grow as leaders, and connect with peers in meaningful ways. With a strong focus on civic leadership and character, our extracurriculars help students develop life skills that prepare them for success in school and beyond.

Leadership & Character Development

  • CKH Leadworthy – Lessons that build confidence, responsibility, and communication skills.

  • CKH Leadworthy Part 2 – Advanced leadership opportunities for students ready to deepen their civic and character development.

  • Leaders in Training – A program designed to empower students to step into leadership roles within their school and community.

STEM & Innovation

  • Lego and Robotics: Explore – Hands-on introduction to robotics and problem solving through Lego-based learning.

  • Lego and Robotics: Challenge – Advanced robotics challenges that encourage teamwork, creativity, and engineering skills.

  • Chess Club – Develops critical thinking, strategy, and focus in a competitive but supportive environment.

Arts, Wellness & Expression

  • Music Production – Students explore the world of sound design, recording, and music creation.

  • Self-Expression Through the Arts – A creative outlet for students to explore visual and performing arts.

  • Ballet – Builds discipline, focus, and artistic expression through classical dance.

  • Mindfulness Club – Teaches techniques for stress management, focus, and emotional well-being.

Service & Peer Programs

  • Junior Sunshine Club & Sunshine Club – Student-led service groups that spread positivity and contribute to a caring school culture.

  • Peer-to-Peer Readers – Students mentor younger peers by fostering literacy skills and a love of reading.

  • Count on Me (K–3) – Encourages responsibility, teamwork, and leadership in younger grades.

  • Count on Me (4–8) – Expands those same leadership skills for upper grade levels.
